Bjorn Fratangelo

Bjorn Fratangelo (born July 19, 1993 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States) is a professional American tennis player who won the boy's singles title at the 2011 French Open. As a result, he reached a career high of no. 2 in the world junior rankings.

Fratangelo was only the second American to win the event as a junior, following John McEnroe in 1977.[1]

Early life

Fratangelo began playing tennis at age three and is named after former tennis champion Björn Borg. His father, Mario, is his coach and has loved the game of tennis for his entire life. Fratangelo currently resides in the Pittsburgh suburb of Plum, Pennsylvania but spends half his time in Naples, Florida.
